Contrast-Enhanced Mammography Guided Breast Biopsy: Case-Series Report
Nội dung chính của bài viết
Tóm tắt
Objectives: Describing technique and application of Contrastenhanced mammography (CEM) guided breast biopsy in early diagnostic breast cancer in Vietnam.
Methods: cross - descriptive study with 6 biopsies under CEM-guided which were performed at Tam Anh hospital from June to July, 2025.
Results: 86 women (mean age 46.3 ± 3.2) with 8 enhancing lesions which were biopsied under CEM-guided, they were mesured average 7.7 ± 3.0 (mm) in the largest dimension, min – max interval was 2.8 – 12mm. One invasive carcinoma was revealed (12,5%), as an strong enhancing
mass on CEM, which was not relevant to the lesion on ultrasound (BIRADS 3); the rest of cases were moderate enhancement, heterogenous and wash-out characteristics on CEM and MRI; 5 cases were not detected on ultrasound and tomosynthesis. The mean time of procedure was 13.9
± 5.1 minutes, average amount of contrast materials were 83.2 ± 9.6 ml Iopamiro 370, average amount of diluted Lignospan (1:4) were 3.9 ± 1.0 ml. Mean average gladular dose (AGD) were 26.2 ± 12.4 mGy. No major
complications were recorded, all patients were completely recovered post procedure 1 day, no analgesic was needed.
