Case report: We report a rare case diagnosed with LDH in a 14-month-old child with the cause of spondylodiscitis. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed annular tear and left paracentral disc herniation of L5-S1. Confirmed that there was no trauma, this is one of the youngest cases reported in the medical literature with LDH caused by spondylodiscitis. Conclusion: Compared with similar rare cases in the literature, the above case shows similarities in clinical features and some imaging features. The inflammatory lab tests and the MRI in favor of cause of spondylodiscitis.
