The value of MSCT in diagnosing of mesenteric tumors
Main Article Content
Abstract
Objectives: Evaluating the value of MSCT in diagnosing of mesenteric tumors.
Subjects and Methods: including 55 patients from October 2010 to June 2014 with MSCT and with the sugery result and
pathology of mesenteric tumor, Gist (Gastrointestinal stroma tumor), retroperitoneal tumor.
Result: Determining diagnosic: Se: 86.5%, Sp: 92.9%, PPV: 64%. Local fat invasion: Se: 86.6%, Sp: 86.3%, ACC: 86.4%.
Evaluating vasculary invasion: Se: 66.6%, Sp: 92.8%, ACC: 86.4%.Evaluating gastrotestinal invasion: Se: 69.2%, Sp: 91.6%, ACC:
83.7%. Evaluating exact location of tumor: 35.1%. Evaluating peritoneal invasion: Se:71.4%, Sp: 90%, ACC: 86.4%.
Conclusion: MSCT has hight Se and Sp in determining diagnosis, evaluating the invasion level of mesenteric tumor. MSCT
has average PPV and low value in evaluating exact location of mesenteric tumor.
