Abstract

SUMMARY
Diaphragmatic hernias through the posterolateral foramen of Bochdalek represent the commonest type
of congenital diaphragmatic hernia. The majority present during neonatal life, being associated with congenital
pulmonary abnormalities. In adult life they remain largely asymptomatic and are usually incidental findings on chest
radiographs or computerized tomography . Below we present the case of a patient 65 years old, who has had
dyspnoea for 1 year. He is diagnosed Bochdaleck hernia after taking CXR and CT.
