Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the most common infectious diseas in Viet nam. Genitourinary TB accounts for 20-25% of all extra- pulmonary TB. Particularly, prostatic TB is a very rare but common in people with HIV/AIDS, deplayed diagnosis and can also mimic prostate cancer. We report a case of prostatic TB in young patient with a negative HIV test, prostate cancer by performing a biopsy. Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of prostatic TB after complete removel of the prostate. Patient was placed on anti-TB drugs with good response.
